A very good RPG featuring average graphics and tile by tile movement. The gameplay is very good and the story is solid. The problem is that the cities in the game are very small which ruins the "feeling" a bit. Don't be disappointed by the first part of the game (before the cave). Dark Ages world is much larger than what you may think in the beginning. MIDI background music.
Dark Quest is a good mix of action and strategy set in a fantasy world. Through a number of missions you control one character directly, while you only control the behavior of four others. The missions are relatively short, which gives you a sense of completion as you progress through them. You can also play this game in a Sheep Galore Mode, where you're only objective is to slaughter all the sheep in the level as fast as possible. The Quest Mode features a long introduction story, which is interesting, but a bit too long especially since it's plain text, although the background images are good. The game has good graphics, but poor animation. Both game modes can be played either as one or two players (split screen), where the two players mode is cooperative in the Quest Mode. The Quest Mode is relatively short. Only PC Speaker sound effects are featured. The biggest flaw of the game are the poor hit routines, which can be annoying.
A fun ASCII puzzle/adventure game. Single screen levels. Use your sword, bow and spells to kill monsters or to reach the level exit. Turn-based gameplay.
An excellent RPG with excellent graphics and Sound Blaster sound effects. MIDI background music. Very nicely designed game with very good gameplay. Turn-based battle system.
Day Of The PIdiot is a mixture of adventure and puzzle genre. I can't call it a puzzle game since it involves using actions like "Look At", "Get" or "Use" with various objects and places in the game (point & click). On the other hand, the game is filled with various puzzles you need to solve, mostly based on math. Interesting game, but with really badly composed graphics which makes it look very cheesy. It features a bad combination of photographs and poorly drawn graphics. If you like math problems, download this game.
A terrible game where you move a paddle (space ship) horizontally in order to avoid some sort of obstacles and collect diamonds. Ghastly graphics and terrible gameplay. You only need to be patient for 10 minutes to finish this game.
A very nice, hi-res (640*480) collector game. The objective of this game is to collect all the diamonds in the level and return to the starting position. No scrolling. Very nice graphics, though a bit static, and very nice Sound Blaster sound effects. Over 40 levels. The game is on German, but you can play it without knowing any German.
A very good Tetris game with several cool and original features, like a helicopter you can smash with a brick or acid and bombs. One of the most original Tetris games I've played. Average graphics and PC Speaker music (yuck!).
A very poor RPG which is practically unplayable. Monsters attack you every 6 to 8 steps and getting anywhere in the beginning of the game (in the woods) is almost impossible. Maps are terrible designed and only allow you to follow a preset and annoyingly winding path. The graphics are good and due the overall effort put in the writing of this game I'm giving it such a generous score. Only for RPG masochists.
An average action game featuring single screen levels. You guide a character with a goal to collect all the parts of the teleporter, so you could advance to the next level, while avoiding traps. The graphics are good, but the movement is tile by tile and the animation is too wooden. The game runs too fast on modern PCs.
A very poor space shooter which is almost unplayable (very bad gameplay), but does feature decent graphics (very nice menus and main ship sprite) and Sound Blaster sound effects and music.
A very nice RPG/action game with great graphics (best 2D graphics in a QBasic game ever, by my opinion). It would be a great game if it wasn't so short. You'll need half an hour to finish it, but it's definitely worth being downloaded. DreamScape doesn't feature any sound or music.
A demo of a quite poor 3D game featuring wireframe graphics. While the gameplay has potential, the overall design is quite poor. You control some vehicle and jump on bricks while avoiding the ground. Similar to SkyRoads.
An excellent space shooter featuring very good gameplay, excellent hi-res graphics (640*480 graphic resolution) and average WAV sound effects. 9 levels (4 stages in each) with different enemies and objectives. Highly recommended!
